CCAL – Advancing Person-Centered Living
CCAL is a national non-profit consumer advocacy and education organization whose mission is to raise awareness and advocate for the widespread implementation of person-centered living principles, policies and practices in Canada. CCAL aims to promote collaborative efforts that foster and advance the exchange of ideas and issues related to person-centered living among consumers, families, service and support providers and other stakeholders. http://www.ccal.org/

CHOICE  (Coalition of Homes Offering Independence and Community for Elders)
CHOICE is a voluntary, grass-roots effort to drive positive changes in long term care from institutional models of care to person-centered environments. The coalition, founded in 2008, promotes the development of person-centered environments where individuals live, work and grow in nurturing, respectful communities that honor personal choice and diverse lifestyles. http://www.choice4culturechange.org/
 
Quality Care Community
The QCC is guided by a Steering Committee that consists of equal numbers of Union and Management leaders.  The co-leaders are the President of the Continuing Care Leadership Coalition and the Nursing Home Division of 1199SEIU.  The Steering Committee meets 4 times per year, establishes overall goals and sub-committees to conduct activities.  QCC activities are open to all facilities that participate in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Staff support to the QCC is provided by the Labor Management Project, a department within the 1199SEIU Training & Employment Funds
